The restaurant Leberfinger, situated on the right side (Bratislava
- Petržalka) of the River Danube became known very soon thanks to its
cuisine based on traditional Pressburg specialties.
The
building, a seat of the restaurant with a 250 years old chequered
history was originally an inn that was visited even by Napoleon. Since
1894 it had been headed by Ludwig LEBERFINGER.
In the fifties
of the 20th century it ran down and in 1992 the lonesome and destroyed
building even burned down. In the years 1996-1998 it was reconstructed
by Civic Association of the WEST Theatre. Location of the restaurant
far from the busy city center, in the vicinity of the Janko Kráż Park
predestines it to an agreeable family or working sitting place.
